Parent
Michael Parent is a Managing Director at Signal Hill Updata and was a Partner at Updata Advisors, having joined the firm in 1995. Mr. Parent leads the firm's Business Services practice. Since joining Signal Hill Updata, he has helped consummate more than 50 software and services transactions, including the acquisition of Aperture Technologies by Emerson Network Power, the acquisition of Novisys by Accenture, and the acquisition of Intermosis by EMC.
Mr. Parent began his career as an Associate at Chemical Bank New York (now JP Morgan), where he managed financings and related transactions in the Banking and Corporate Finance Group. He subsequently spent two years working in post-communist Eastern Europe under the auspices of the M&A Enterprise Corps.
Mr. Parent earned an M.B.A. from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.A. from Columbia College in New York. He has completed graduate course work at Groupe H.E.C. School of Management in France.
